May benefit from China development and aquasitions of telecomm companies to keep its marketshare. Good management but bitter competition in this field.

Strong company, will survive the apple-hype machine. Unlike apple , does not depend on 'fashion' .

The largest cellphone manufacturer by far; Nokia was also probably one of the most innovative companies of the last decade. They have lost their way in the premium phones segment but the stock has been punished too much. A new version of Symbian and sleeker phones will launch the company back into the limelight.

Nokia is shifting strategy by focusing more on improving its margins with a beefed up higher end device portfolio and diversifying its revenue streams by introducing new servicing offerings offered by ovi.com into new markets at an increasing pace. This one is for the long run..

This stock is a bargain at these prices. The release of the Nokia Notebook will boost this stock up to $25 by year end.

There are signs of the giant awakening from its deep slumber. The channels, the mindset and market share they have the world over is by far the best amongst the mobile device manufacturers. What was plaguing the company in the recent past is the lack of "must have" handsets; but all that is about to change.

Nokia may have missed the smartphone explosion, but their technology is not dead. Their stock has missed the bull market of the last few months, but it will eventually correct upward.

This months Fast Company has a good article on Nokia. It highlights how unaware they are that they have already lost the smart phone market. They have a very socialistic strategy, central planning how they are going to leverage this huge installed base of customers (commodity dumb phone customers), into some kind of profit machine. They scoff at apple and rimm who are only catering to the rich and that they are the morally superior company who is going to supply the poor of the world. That's super Nokia, but I like companies that make profits.

Being a proud owner of a Nokia phone since, oh, I was gr 10(?), Nokia has never failed to impress!
Only concern I have ever had is if there can be more network to use my phone with.
