From Finance Google: Newpark Resources, Inc. (Newpark) is a diversified oil and gas industry supplier providing products and services primarily to the oil and gas exploration (E&P) industry.
The price to book is 1.
The price to earnings is 7.
For the last 10 years the company has traded at a P/B between 1 and 2 (exception was great depression where it traded at .67). In the last 10 years it has risen above a PB of 1.6 seven times. I wouldn't consider this for serious long term buy an hold unless management changes significantly, but the opportunity for expansion of price to book is strong.

Natural gas prices have likely hit rock bottom - as it is this baby's selling for roughly 7x earnings, and 6x 2013 earnings. Good medium or long-term play on the recovery of natural gas.

Newpark's earnings indicate their stock price should be near $15 per share (depending on what level of P/E you think the stock deserves). They are in an industry that is not going anywhere. Newpark has shows revenue and ernings growth on a consistent basis. The stock is beginning to level out at the bottom of a pull back that started quite a while back. I am looking for Newpark to begin a rather aggressive climb to at least $12 per share in the next couple months.

Wow, I think I found a winner. By the numbers it appears to be very good. Hopefully it can live up to such good potential.

Provides products and services to the Oil and gas E&P industry. Little more of a gamble than say Halliburton, but I think the upside is worth it
Recs
Good growth and future earnings.

NR is diversified, The curent ration is 3.0, The 5 and 10 year charts are worth looking at. Was profitable in Brazil. Oil prices have been rising (go figure). Fidelity is a major share holder and has increased its position.
Recs
Beat down by the drop in oil prices and as E&P companies have gotten beaten up as well. As the economy levels out and people start driving and the economy picks up and shipping and airlines and all that get back to normal and growing again.

I PICKED NEWPARK BECUASE THEY ARE SELLING THEIR ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES SECTOR.
THIS WILL SIMPLIFY THEIR BUSINESS, ALLOWING THEM, TO FOCUS ON AND PERFECT THEIR FLUID SYSTEMS, AND MAT AND INTERGRATED SERVICES FOR THE OIL AND GAS INDUSTRY.
I ALSO LIKE THEIR FORWARD PE FOR NEXT YEAR
Recs
This stock will break out to $7.00+ by May and possibly earlier when the sale of Environmental division goes through.
