While the price may go down when oil prices are lower, oil still needs to be transported and stored.

valero lp is producing a natural resource that will have an advantage in price untill liquid petroleum imports really start to compete with them.

Oil and gasoline may go up and down, but they always have to be transported. If prices go down again, demand will go up. This will boost VLI's earnings.

The pipeline subsidiary of Valero (VLO), this one pays out nicely and has thousands of miles of oil, natural gas, and. . . hydrogen lines? Yes, VLI is preparing for the hydrogen economy with a couple dozen miles of test lines. So whether you're burning fossil or renewable, VLI is cashing in.
