We were trying to figure out which stock we favored between Blue Nile and Netgear. We ended up unenthused about either, and therefore went with our first red thumb, choosing Netgear as the victim. You never hear anything about Netgear these days — behind the times, and trying to catch up. Not really growing significantly in contrast to most tech companies. While their balance sheet is okay, there doesn’t seem to be any reason to get excited about Netgear’s future — murky at best (“murky” got briefly text-corrected to “turkey” which perhaps also applies!).
Recs
Overpriced for its performance. Depressed economy globally. Competition galore
