NTELOS stock took a huge dump because one magical market prognosticator predicted that Sprint wouldn't renew it's contract to use it's network. The outlook was cut from $21 to $5 and an underperform.
Yes, if true, this is troubling news.
Funny, I haven't seen one actual news report regarding the non-renewal. Even if it does come to pass, NTELOS has two years left on the existing contract to either find another carrier to cut over to or possibly get bought out. Either way, I feel this is a solidly managed company who happens to pay a pretty sweet dividend. A gamble? Maybe. But I can't see NTELOS, who continues to add subscribers in a very competitive market, simply shutting off one day because Sprint took their network and went home.

The spin-off of the company's wireline business may make the NTLS wireless business an acquisition target.

Small regional telco will face little to no wireless or cable competition in a fairly stable area. Can continue to grow market presence while its larger competitors are trying to shore up their prime markets.

I am proud of this, my first CAPS pick. It has made me over 40% and gives me the distinction of score leader. I just don't know why more people don't call this stock. It has gained a steady 40% in under 3 months. Hop on before it plateaus to much.
