I've been playing the ups and downs of NVIDIA over the past year or so. They've lost ~10% after a downgrade and some general semiconductor weakness, so I'll get back in on the outperform side.
There's a great long-term thesis that holds for the stock with the growth of high performance computing and some of their other growth initiatives. However, the company should see some short-term weaknesses due a delayed (and uninspired) launch of its new chip architecture, Fermi. Longer-term though, I think their brand is still strong with buyers, they're pushing into some high tech areas that could continue to be differentiators with AMD (New cards taking advantage of tesselation, other advanced 3D features which appeal to their core enthusiast market).
Also, with China/Asia now as their largest market for graphics cards, I think their addressable market could grow faster than the average stock-picker might think by looking at a chart of PC sales growth. The Chinese market has several favorable demographic skews such as players prefering RPG games (a genre better suited to the PC) and other Asian countries preferring RTS games (probably the genre most suited to the PC).
Even if the company faces the possibility of some market share losses and shrinking margins over the next year, I prefer their long-term vision to AMD's. If they can evangelize Tesla as a platform for supercomputing and continue growing the role of graphics processors on workstations, I think there's some fantastic growth opportunities in the coming years.

Wow! Wow ! Wow! The company announces today huge profits, it states that it will have a hard time to meet the demand for it's products, yet the share price is down a HUGE 7% because people 'expected' even better results.
Can you spell buying opportunity? This is a prime example of a very strong company, with a very good product and very little competition. It is well managed and the directors have a vested interest in its success. I like all of those points.
This makes NVIDIA a company that will consistently beat the market for the foreseeable future.

Undervalued. Integrated graphics are much better now but nVIDIA will continue to gain ground in the portable/mobile industry.

Just harvesting a score of 6.67, while lowering my cost basis from $20.52 to just under $19.

Yeap... with the absolute take over of teenage and young adult psych by portable media NVDIA is definitely going to continue growth in the foreseable future...

Innovator and standard setter since it created the first GPU in 1999.
It appears they will continue their forward thought and movement for years to come.
