This company was founded in 1925 in Denmark. Engaged in discovery, development manufacturing and marketing of pharmaceutical products. The company has 2 segments-Diabetes Care and Biopharmaceuticals. The 3 biggest shareholders of the company are: Thornburg Investment Management INC, Bank of America, and Renaissance Technologies Corp. That's alot of clout and backing there!

i like foreign companies, NVO is the primary pharmaceutical company providing insulin. WIth people getting increasingly heavier, diabetes will only increase in the US and abroad. Can't miss.

National pick. I'm Danish, but great company selling a great product for fat overweight people (diabetes). Even if there's a rxxx, fat and sick people still need their medicine.

In spite of the huge gains lately I think the tip of the icberg is showing,

Solid blue-chip foreign company. Has a pretty good trend-line going and I wouldn't bet against it. Add in the somewhat reasonable PE of 22 for a pharma company and solid nature of its businees and you have an outperform call.

Been looking for an entry point for this company. Stock has pulled back off its high. Great longterm prospects, buy on weakness.

Leader in diabetes treatment. Invest in a disease that (unfortunately) won't go away anytime some.

People are fat...and getting fatter. Novo-Nordisk and Eli Lilly are the two big suppliers of insulin. If you need insulin you will find a way to buy it, since the alternative is not so pleasant. Lilly has a lot of problems, so I vote for Novo. Plus, a good personal friend has worked for them for 25 years. I have some inside information that made we want to get back in again. I had previously sold out at about a 90% profit after it started looking expensive. But the earnings keep marching higher. Fat...it's a growth industry!
Recs
Leading provider of insulin and other diabetic products. Strong play as global diabetes increases and the US exports its unhealthy eating habits
Recs
Novo Nordisk is the largest manufacture of insulin in the world and also a producer of enzymes used in detergents. Diabetes is one of the fastest growing diseases in the world today. Insulin dependent diabetics can have a long life time, so it goes without saying that Novo has a lot of repeat customers.
Recs
Simple, Diabetes is a growing problem - and Novo is close to a pure play
Recs
Novo Nordisk has increased substantially. However, the current valuation still seems reasonable at ~12-13 EV/EBITDA given margin levels and asset intensity. Additionally, this is as close to a pure play on diabetes as you can get, and diabetes is unfortunately a growing health problem faced by people all over the world.
