Too many fundamental numbers going the wrong way.

I just looked for reasons to own NVR, and could not find any.

No Debt. Low price. Should rebound when housing market finally recovers.
Recs
Homebuilder with no debt and share repurchases. Can aggressively expand when the opportunity comes.
Recs
A home builder with no debt, a stronghold in DC, VA area and no downside land risk

Stealing from our resident builder expert floridabuilder2.

Strongest competitor in the housing industry. The company removes speculating on land prices from your investment as the company doesn't directly own the land until immediately before its sold. These speculative losses have been the cause of the negative earnings within the housing industry; the main business of construction has been break even for most companies despite dramatic revenue decreases. NVR has been profitable each year and has been able to build a large cash position on an already debt free balance sheet. The financially strong survivors in this industry will be able to pick up the pieces and gain share as conditions normalize. NVR is the best suited to grow as their low capital investment needs make this growth easier. Longterm call, I intend to purchase soon.
Recs
The housing market will be back within 2 years, particularly in the market areas where NVR is active. This company is holding it's own now, as the market improves, so will their sales and margins.

I LIKE IT BECAUSE ITS A COOL COMPANY AND ITS A HIGH PRICED ONE I WANT IT TO GO UP A TON PLZ

Homebuilding business. Insider selling. Stock is only down about the same as the overall market, which means there is likely more room to run (on the downside).
Recs
Big insider selling.

Housing construction will continue to "flat line" as price adjustments for this over inflated sector look for a bottom. Don't look at the stimulus plan as a remedy. The world economy will compel the US to accept a lower standard of living. This means lower wages that can only support lower home prices.

INSIDER SELLING

How low can you go? Housing industry hasn't hit bottom yet.

If you are red thumbing NVR because you hate all builders red thumb away. If you are red thumbing NVR because you think the company is in trouble or is not run well.... you are barking up the wrong tree.
NVR is best in class in the industry. Don't bite into the only apple with a worm in it.
