Livers and Kidneys are in extreme need currently. Livers need only a partial piece so they can be printed faster than kidneys. Bone and bone marrow should be next which may help with Lukemia

I remember being amazed when they discovered they could grow human tissue in a dish, now they have moved on to having the ability to print it. Imagine losing an ear, part of your skin and having the option to have your cells used to print a new replica just for you. It may take a few years to master this new technology, but it is, IT IS, the future of medicine. Long term this is a sure thing.

While 3-D printing has been around for some time it is now becoming feasible in the production process and the niche business of human tissue printing. As long as Organovo does not get purchased by larger industry competitors i see this becoming the major competitor in human tissue printing.

bought this at 2.02. It will fluctuate to the hype of the market, but I feel it will rise overall.

HOW DO YOU RATE THIS STOCK IN 2013

This technology is groundbreaking and will change the landscape of the medical field forever.

Although the major benefits of this company are years away, Organovo is preparing itself by partnering up with some major players. Plus, as an investor, I'm happy to see that the company's balance sheet continues to improve. Still just a small sub-$300m market cap, I see limited downside risk and enormous upside potential. Short-term price target - $5.50. End-of-Year Target $8.00. Nasdaq listing seems inevitable.

Speculation

This pick is a bet on everything to do with 3-D printing, and involved the following tickers: xone, ddd, ssys, onvo, adsk, dasty. The first 3 are small cap pure play 3D printer makers; onvo is trying to make a bio-3d-printer, and the last two companies make CAD software, necessary to make a design to feed into a 3-D printer.
Recs
Big Risks, but if it hits will be a lottery ticket, lots of talent in leaders( MDS, Lawyers, MBAs, Scientists)... again big risks but rewards

We are entering a period where objects are able to be printed on 3d printers. The 3 d printer stocks have seen dramatic increases in valuation du eto the promise of this technology. Printing of bio structures if it were to reach its full potential offers us the chance to dramatically improve the outcomes of many fairly routine transplants due to the reduced risk from rejected tissues. This is a prety speclative stock, but as a small percentage of my portfolio, I believe I am comfortable with the risk.

The success of tissue generation and ultimately the holy grail of 3D printing of organs will literally change the medical world as we know it. That said, ONVO has a long way to go, but they have a plan and are executing it smartly. If they can sustain the capitol necessary through business partnerships or acquisition by another company, the long term prospects are worth considering. If ONVO succeeds, this one will be a game changer with potential impact for every human on earth.

Amazing tech. If these guys can execute this will be a multibagger

3-D imaging is just in the beginning stages
Recs
ONVO is ahead of their time and this may be their downfall. I'm long ONVO and expect them to begin selling their printers later this year.
Recs
I actually like the idea and company but it will probably crash soon.
Recs
Is ONVO a Fools play or a fools play in 3D Printing?
I say Fools play...Outperform 500...
Recs
Inovative proprietary technology. No competition I'm in at $2.20 I can see this going to $10 a share with all the momentum behind all the 3D printing companies like DDD. Could be an excellent canidate for acquisition.
Recs
Incredible technology that can save biotech companies big $$ in their research...Plus make organs out of your own cells eliminating rejection prospects.
