OK, a few things that I don't like.

1) Rumor has it that there will only be 30,000 units for the June 6th launch.
2) Another rumor has it that production was delayed due to Hardware/Software issues.

It's all about the Pre. But I don't see that product taking significant market share from either RIM (business space) or Apple (consumer space) regardless of how great the software and usability is. The majority of iPhone users simply aren't going to move over to the Pre because, well, once you're in the cult you don't leave. And Blackberry has become the defacto equipment in the business space -- with RIM doing a reasonable job keeping the products fresh, snazzy, and efficient -- that I don't see the Pre being able to gain back much of what they've lost to the Blackberry over the past 10 years while PALM was asleep at the wheel. If anything RIM is going to lose market share to Apple. So where does that leave PALM? Capturing a percentage of the small group of undecideds that aren't 100% loyal to RIM or Apple? Doesn't sound like long-term success to me.
