Verifone already has market share. They can adapt quickly, and easily, to any changes in technology. Case in point: the Chinese are outsourcing their requirements to Verifone due to the complexity of establishing payment systems.

Switching away from swipe cards, this company will benefit no matter who in the leader. Mobile Payments are the ultimate future.

Maybe the stock keeps going down from here, but it appears it's being priced for a bankruptcy. Sure, earnings and guidance weren't good at all. However, I believe this to be overdone. If you are a long term investor, and don't care about trying to buy the bottom, then this should be a good entry point. So much negative sentiment is built into the stock now. Same could have been said about GMCR and FSLR, among others. Look for a gap fill and then trim position.

VeriFone Systems Inc. (NYSE: PAY) was chosen for its post-turnaround opportunity in payment solutions. This one recovered handily over the last year but has since tanked. Even after a 7% gain on Wednesday to $32.54, the 52-week range is $27.33 to $55.89. With a consensus price target of $43.77, the implied upside to the consensus target is a whopping 34%.

VISA and Mastercard are going to essentially force US merchants to upgrade to chip-and-pin verification of credit cards (like in Europe and Canada) from today's insecure magnetic stripes, and by 2015 at the latest. PAY is best placed to take advantage from these upgrades, with a big boost to revenues over the next 3 years.

As payment methods change in society Verifone is perfect positioned to take advantage of digital payment progression especially in technologies such as NFC. Eventually a wallet with cash will be redundant with plastic cards being the only item need to transact.

VeriFone stock is overvalued at its current price. It is a dinosaur from the 20th century and Square, Intuit and others are already making large inroads into PAY's customer base. The time of dedicated custom hardware for payments is over, and VeriFone are getting left behind

when nfc takes over the world, almost every payment terminal in the tens of thousands of shops and restaurants will be made by verifone.

Everywhere you take out your credit card and swipe it (almost) you'll see Verifone's name. It's gonna be a big time stock at some point.

Verifone has been performing poorly ever since regulatory idiots had to put their nose into its affairs, however, at these levels PAY is a gift. It has great technology with good forward looking implementation into every type of mobile payment as well as excellent exansion prospects into emerging markets. 100 in 12-18 months is my 2 cents on it

This is a small/mid cap high growth stock that should outperform the S&P during the bull market.

With emerging markets... well emerging, Verifone's product will be used more and more. Projected growth rate over the next 5 years - 20%.

This technology is severely under utilized right now and will most likely exploded in the next few years.
