I believe PBW makes a great green energy play over the long term. Right now it will remain volatile tracking rather closely to gains/losses in oil prices and good/bad press concerning global warming and other environmental issues. However, as more… More

Among other things on Obama's agenda, energy independence and clean energy seem to be quite high in the mix. While it's hard to predict which companies specifically will benefit from this, PBW as an ETF covering the clean energy sector stands to benefit a great deal from this new investment.
Additionally, if the rumors and predictions about Oil's peaking supply is any indication, the rising price of traditional sources will serve only to increase margins in the alternative energy markets. Remember, alternatives in most any market are price Takers, not Makers, so rising oil costs won't just benefit big oil, but shrewd alternative energy businesses as well.
