Money Supply Growth is in double digits as Fed inflates the currency to prevent collapse and pay off unsustainable national debt in cheaper dollars. Shadow Government Statistics data shows real inflation at 12-13%. Land and commodities will rise in this environment.

Plum Creek is a strong diversified company. I have owned their stock since it was $15.00 a share and I have watched it grow in a good and bad economy. They own lots of timber, which grows every year. money may not grow on trees, but when trees grow their value increases. They are a large land holder. Real estate is a product that cannot be reproduced and will always increase in value. It's a win-win situation.

Sooner or later, people will want new homes, and builders will build new homes. When that happens, they will need lumber. Until then, it is a great time to watch your trees grow and collect a nice dividend. It is an aspect of the construction materials industry where it is relatively inexpensive to sit on the sidelines until things get better.

Good Profit Margins & ROE. Would like to see more insider holdings & a LOT less Debt !!! But it has THE largest (or close to it) timber holding in the US. With all those trees--I guess it can have all the debt it wants. Anyway, its at a good entry point.

They have smart mgmt that realizes that timber grows in 20-30 year cycles, not earnings quarters. They have 5-7 year ranges to decide when to optimize harvesting.

US' largest timberland real estate holder. Timber is a commodity that grows and nobody is making any more land. The combination should keep this stock, really a REIT, from ever dropping past its' recent lows. Normally produces a good dividend. it is required to pay out 95% of its earnings so growth is limited to debt or additional equity financing.

This is a great company that is oversold. I like their position relative to other players in their industry.

HUGE private timber inventory, environmentally friendly and responsible, strong reputation in the forestry business. Plus the added value of the real estate makes this a pick for me. Great buy under $28!
