Nice revenue stream and nice profit margin for the long haul, so I'm in on this one

Priceline has a strong and consistent history of growth, and there is still plenty of room to grow internationally. Priceline's advertising allows it to maintain dominance in the online travel industry and outperform Expedia and Orbitz, as well as others like Tripadvisor and Travelzoo. This is a long term outperform.

Barron's cover story says Priceline is done. I say: not so fast.

This was supposed to be a simple tracking blog post rather than a pitch but as a new player, it takes a couple of days to be approved for blog posting...oh well. Hopefully I remember to look back at these pitches.

They know travel and expect travel revenue to increase as the world increases its discretionary spending.

I have watched Priceline climb in value waiting for a time to jump in. The business just continues to get better and better. With a PE that is half it's 5 year growth rate and ever improving margins, now is the time for me to get in. Comparing margins and ROE to Expedia, TRIP and CTRIP, Priceline stands out as the best run business.

Both Tom and David like this at current prices. It has an outperform ratio of 1247/362 which seems better than its two star ranking. It is showing good growth in difficult economic times. It has positive 1/2/3 year price appreciation of 15/50/200%; analyst rankings are at 7 which is the neutral/bullish dividing line. That should be enough to beat the market.

Travel on an upswing. Baby boomers needing to get out of town more before they get to the rocking chairs.

Expedia reported solid earnings this week which I think bodes well for Pricelines upcoming earnings report. I predict that PCLN will meet/beat expectations and challenge it's 52w high - which would require a move around 10% from where it is currently trading (~$700).

Expect strong growth to continue. Use the service all the time when I travel.

Working in hospitality I see the growth of booking.com and how much the combinations of the regional representatives and the lower commission is a huge draw for smaller boutique hotels. Agoda is also the best website for booking hotels throughout SE Asia. I've used it extensively through Thailand and Cambodia recently.
