PCM has a tempting yield over 9%, but this closed-end ETF does with leverage of about 45% of total funds invested. It also invests primarily in mortgage back securities in the USA, which doesn't exactly have a secure and safe connotation right now.

shorting mortgage funds. these have kept up with market gains the past 6months which they have no business doing going forward in future. just read an article on bill gross selling a significant allocation of MBS from its fund off back in September. He's calling a macro weakness on MBS, and so am I.

A closed-end fund specializing in investments in commercial mortgage-backed securities....I guess it could be worse if they said subprime residential mortgage backed securities, but it's still pretty bad. Plus it's up decent recently.
