I don't particularly like Pride as a company... I don't think they are the best at what they are doing. This said, mid August 09 Pride:

All the numbers are great. The company may even be a little undervalued. But the most recent 8-K filing disturbs me. Is the company risking all of its business success on expansion into ship based (deep water) drilling? If so, AND if they are… More

Pride International, Inc. (PDE) is an international provider of contract drilling and related services to oil and natural gas companies worldwide, operating offshore and on land. I picked it over a year ago at $14.25 and I still like it. At the current price of $30.25, the p/e is about 7½. There is no dividend.
