This stock will most likely out perform the S" &P 500 because, when it comes to paying the "first line performers their pretty stingy. Another 3 yrs. with no pay increase.

Pepsi’s product portfolio today consists of a panoply of strong brands which appeal to consumers of all ages. Nineteen of Pepsi’s brands each generate retail sales of more than a billion dollars annually. Pepsi- Cola, Tropicana Juice, Gatorade, Lay’s Potato Chips, Diet Pepsi, Doritos, and Mountain Dewrank among the best-selling brands in U.S. supermarkets.

The analyst consensus for future earnings growth over the next five years is 9-11% annually, which strikes me as a mildly optimistic conjecture about Pepsi’s future.

I like the 3.2 dividend yield. I am paid to wait. My price target for Dec 2012 is $69.00 I belive they will increase the dividend from $0.515 to $0.56 by mid year an 8% increase. This is a great paid to wait stock. I am long this position and think the share proce will be $100 in 2015 with a dividend payout of $2.88 just my two cents here.

Large portfolio of consumer brands with global presence, plus a nice dividend. Possible breakup of company could provide additional upside.

Pepsi has a diverse portfolio that gives it a better hedge vs Coke in a down macroeconomic environment. They have also been working on consolidation and streamlining multiple businesses the last two years to reduce costs, along with strong cost reduction and lean business practices.

Pepsi is cheap on a sum-of-the-parts basis. This value may be unlocked by a split of the drinks and snacks divisions, potentially forced by activist investors and the company's Board of Directors.

As a marketing man, all I can say is The Pepsi Generation - as stupid, annoying and idiotic as it is - is the purest genius. A moat pretty much as big as Coke's. No chance any beverage/snack food company can get in front of them. They're profits are as close to guaranteed as profits can be.

This is a "Giant Tortoise Stock." Like a giant tortoise, It may be big and slow, but it has a hard shell (economic moat), can swim far (enter into new and emerging markets and industries), and live long.

Pepsi is making a serious investment in China, with America's favorites, but also researching Chinese tastes and modifies their products accordingly.

I am a retail shop owner and know Pepsi takes good care of retail customers and monitors products well. Coke cares little for its retailers and treats them like lowly middle men. I have 5 years history to base this on. Retailers highlight and push products. I'm basing my decision on emotion, I guess. Jobs cared for his company and Pepsi employees appear to care for theirs. Coke representatives that visit me hate their jobs and complain about the company. It is a company I know and has treated us franchisees well. Maybe I have emotional loyalty.
