Standard & Poor's rating has fallen to three stars, but it's still a safe dividend stock with the dividend well covered and averages annual dividend increase of 12-15% although they only raised it about 6% this year. Also, I'm a Diet Mountain Dew addict. Having the additional snack food and cereal business (Lay's and Frito-Lay and Quaker) makes them more diversified than Coca-Cola, and they own Tropicana too. Invested through a direct stock purchase plan offered through BNYMELLON.

There aren't too many periods that you can find where PEP doesn't outperform the s&p. I'll take my chances that this stock is one that you can own until you get old and decrepid. The only risk that I can think of for the CAPS game is that since stocks aren't counted towards your accuracy until you hit the 7% mark, it might just fill up a spot in your portfolio for a long, long time before it changes your score...
