Bought mid-March at $33.24. Invested in direct stock purchase plan offered through Computershare. Has raised its dividend for 21 consecutive years with plans to continue doing so but needs to be watched because of major planned capex in future for new nuke plants. Rated four stars by Standard $ Poors and still yielding around 6.5%. It was yielding 7.4% at the price I first got in at.

A great investment yeilding a nice dividend. Just got approval from Florida to build new Nuclear site. It's time for green engery.
I just wish that CEO ownership of stock was higher, it would put more confidence in overall stock value.

This will be the first energy company to get back into nuclear reactor generation. As the cost of fossil fuels rises in the future, the cost of nuclear generation should decline.

Green is in. With a focus on alt-energy for the current administration, and likely (attempted) changes in infrastructure this company will probably have a high demand for its services. But uhdunno, I'm just getting started, and think that that sounds good.

Current price is depressed resulting in a current yield >7%. Economic recovery will result in higher earnings, offset in part by anticipated higher interest rates.

I have owned this stock for years, and it almost always hovers in the low to mid $40s. It is only suffering the effects of the recession. The dividends are good, making it a reliable pick in an overall bear market.

The Richmond County project and Bartow Repowering should help augment this companies clean natural gas generation. Too bad they used Bib (Kiewit) for an EPC on Bartow, but they learned their lesson.
A good stable company with a solid dividend. Not much excitement, but that's ok.

Progress is a solid utility with a good yield. Also, a recent rate increase authorized in North Carolina should boost earnings.

I used Bates' DDM and project 29.65 for this stock. I undertook my investigation of the electric utilities sector starting with the idea that this is a mature sector, probably the first to get out of any slump.
