Parker Drilling Company (NYSE:PKD)

Parker appears to have significant problems with the 2 arctic land rigs for BP. The cost in bringing these rigs to a serviceable status, coupled with the lost revenue may be devastating over the next year.

Solid and conservative company with great management - they know the cycle and don't over sextend themselves. I belive they'll see $10 again within 12 months.

Agree with TMFPlatoish - this stock should have great upside as it rides the "oil rocket" thats just taking off mid-2009

I expect a 40% return within 6 months. With a tad of luck we might see a 100 to 200 % return.

PKD's longterm contract with BP on the North Slope should provide growth and stability.

This is another company that I worked with and found that they are very well run and a great service to the oil and gas industry.

With Parker Drilling getting first rights to begin installing off-shore oil platforms in Alaska beginning in 2010 there should ne nothing stopping this energy stock from soaring above its competition.

management are morons, but at this price - umm...
can they ruin this business completely? not that they stopped drilling all of a sudden or ever will.
an acquisition target, perhaps.

The search for oil will go on, and in increasing difficult locations - Parker's specialty.

Lowest priced drilling company of any size, World-wide operation; moderate debt for the industry. Drilling should be hot for the next 10-15 years.
