This healthy fast food chain is growing slowly and returns are sluggish. I've been watching them for a while and am taking a wait and see attitude.

Great food and always crowded.

Love the restaurant -- and the stock.

Definitely shaky in the short term, but ever time I visit PNRA the place is packed with people. The carb craze is over, and who doesn't love soup, salad, and sandwiches for lunch?

Outstanding earnings and equity growth rate, and a very well-liked CEO. Customers love Panera, and there's still plenty of room nationwide for their expansion.

Just discovered this stock after eating at one of their restaraunts for the first time the other night. Well-run with great fundamentals. Has a ton of growth potential from new store openings. Hopefully management will find ways to boost same store sales growth as well. Not valued cheaply enough for me to add to my real life portfolio, but I do expect this stock to outperform the market by a decent margin over the long term.

PNRA is struggling right now, but they have good management with good insider ownership proving that the ownership believes the company. Wall Street won't soon give them their due, but they will be forced to an Panera continually invents new ways to draw in a customer base with a healthy 'fast' food.

Held this baby since '98. EVERY Panera visit has been a positive one. They OWN the fast-but-good-and-meet-for-business category of food.

As the good times roll in 2007 the good food service - PANERA- will enjoy increased followers.

These stocks are in my real life portfolio.

By far the major player in a profitable niche market. "Fast food" is moving in this direction and Panera is the first one there.
Recs
Quick food, done right. Have you been to your local Panera Bread lately? Whenever I go in to get a gourmet sandwich, the place is packed! As Panera branches out, I believe the stock price can only go up.
Recs
everytime I go to one, it's packed, and the food is good.

Great food, solid finances, strong growth prospects and great ROI.

Panera Bread Company engages in the ownership and franchising of bakery-cafes in the United States. It operates in three segments, which include the Company-owned bakery-cafe operations, the franchise operations, and the fresh dough operations under the concept names Panera Bread and Saint Louis Bread Co. Its cafes specialize in made-to-order bakery goods like Crispani pizzas, sandwiches, bagels, pastries, salads, soup served in bread bowls, and custom roasted beverages.
The company reported a solid revenues increase of 30% in the third quarter of the fiscal year 2006. This was much ahead of the company’s strategy to grow at a compounded annual growth of 25% each year. The key drivers to this increase were mainly the increase in the number new bakery cafes opened during the quarter. The company has been consistently reporting positive same-store sales since the past two years with this quarter also being no exception.
During the coming months it is expected that the positive trend of the comparable store sales is going to be further accelerated driven by the current roll-out of the Crispani flat bread pizza offering and the associated development of evening day part business. This roll out has already started reaping good fruits as the brand started giving a 2% to 4% lift to the comps per café.
Panera has a privilege of being the leading company in the category when it comes to average unit volumes. Along with this the successful roll out of the Crispani Pizza and plans to achieve a unit growth of 16% to 18% per year it is expected that the company’s stock will continue with its march towards the sky.

Great growth. Great value. Great food.

Well managed, and as Peter Lynch would say, it is always packed when I go in there.
