Used Monday's sell-off to initiate a position in POT. I am a believer in the growing population will be consuming more protein as they raise their standard of living. More protein ala increased consumption of beef and chicken translates into more grain. Animals consume more grain that people. Increa...More

You smell that? Do you smell that? Manure, son. Nothing else in the world smells like that. I love the smell of manure in the morning. You know, one time we had a hill sprayed, for twelve hours. When it was all over I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' dink pesky insects. The sme...More

Global food shortages plus corn-based ethanol fuel production means increased demand for food production. This demand means that more farmers will be planting more crops on land that might not be optimal for food crops. That means that there's going to be a lot of fertilizer sold around the world. POT probably has the lion's share of potash and will be making a lot of money from the rush to increase food production.

Potash Corp./Saskatchewan stands to benefit from the global crisis/shortage in food production. No doubt as countries all across the world focus their attention on agriculture and increasing production, POT will be right in the middle of it to provide much need fertilizers to fuel an growing sector. Betting bull on this one all the way.

Agriculture is a hot industry and fertilizer (Potash) is gaining ground. This company is a leader in the business. China & India are hungry for fertilizer and demand for Ethanol/Biodiesel is going to continue to grow.

Food & grain prices are rising and this will help the farmer's afford to pay higher price.
