Probably a business run by dirt bags(my guess). 2016 EPS is expected to shrink, I dont know why.

However, current PE of around 7.4 is less than half of what this fetched in recent past (>15). There is a potential for double by end of 2017

Mr. Market over reacts to bad news. This company has excellent management and will at least recover. Growth beyond that is highly likely given the parts.

Concerns about FTC are overblown, and PRAA will double in 4 to 5 years once the Feds rein in their dogs.

The "market" is currently penalizing a business for a normal situation that occurs after an acquisition - the assumption that the entities absorbed will continue to function at 100% over the next three quarters. Rarely does that happen, but, they usually do begin getting back to their expected level of performance in the third quarter after the acquisition once expense and personnel adjustments have been implemented. Inspite of these near term performance dips the company still almost hit expectations. This is a company that understands its niche and has been taking advantage of recent international expansion opportunties.

Short float of 22% appears daunting at first sight. Institutional ownership of 111.55%, however, is reassuring.

Using PRAA as a hedge against my much-too-volatile portfolio. (Note the 1000 point shift in my CAPS score during just the past two months :)).

A souring economy might wreak havoc on the stock prices of high-flyers. But it is an opportunity for PRAA, whose business is in buying up and collecting of company receivables, to get stronger. When things get dicey, companies need to load up on cash – which is exactly when PRAA makes their best deals.

In addition to serving the role of a hedge, PRAA has also been a solid stand-alone investment, outperforming the market in seven of the past ten years.

The management is very smart and has a long record of success in meeting EPS growth and ROE targets of 15% and 20%, respectively. At around 16x LTM earnings, and having just made a great acquisition that will boost the long term earning power of the comapny, I think PRAA is cheap.

Should do well with continuing economic growth, aswell as with a downturn.

As the economy improves domestically, holders of defaulted secured debt will pay over time to improve credit history for better borrowing terms in the future. On the international front, PRAA has the expertise and electronic tracking tools to find and collect from defaulted loans

20% year-over-year rise in quarterly revenue. Forbes magazine regularly names it one the top 50 small businesses in the U.S. Now the recent acquisition of Aktiv Kapital AS. This stock still has a very long way to go up, way up.
