Nice Div. We need oil, so does the rest of the world.

Regardless of what Congress does, I'll buy oil and gas before I buy any "green energy" snakeoil. Pioneer's financial statements look fantastic right now, and I like the price even though it's been on a run lately. PSE is one to keep an eye on.

They don't get any more boring than this! A 12% dividend! And it is not traded in huge volumes. This one has been forgotten. Of course, that doesn't make it impervious to market forces.
1) over the course of 2009, supply may exceed demand and put some downward pressure on this stock. I believe it is already priced in, but we'll have to see.
2) The volume that this stock trades is small, so it may be susceptible on a regular basis to % moves that make sense only for a day or so.
3) The dividend - seems like a no brainer. We'll have to pay attention to see if it can be maintained.

Do you think oil will go down to $10 a barrel?

At this price with the good div. why not?

A bit boring, but fundamentally strong diversified energy company, well run. There are plenty of bad companies out there (LGCY, ENP, KRU). This one has solid fundamentals and valuation.
A side thought - sexy yield is important these days. A long-term buy just because of that. As long as oil is above $30 :)

IPO's aren't doing the greatest right now, but PSE will likely see a stock increase on perception & speculation. The company owns & intends to acquire oil & gas operations in Texas & New Mexico. Given that its operations are in oil & gas, which are all the rage with the high gas consumption, this IPO will likely see its price rise regardless of whether its financials provide any justification in the short-term.
