very short term bear on this as ETF selling pushes it down to 10. Then up as the world realizes the dividend is solid

King of the BDCs. It is trading at or just above NAV, ex dividend now. I don't see how it can go anywhere but up, if only a small %.

Most other BDC's are smaller and cost more than their NAV's and with one or two lines of income. This stock as 6-7 and has never had a non accruing loan. Plus they pay 12% which should attract more investors. Additionally, their loans out are variable while their debt is fixed. They should do well in rising interest rate environment.

Double digit dividend REIT specializing in small to mid size business loans. Higher interest loans but higher risk as well, spread out among a diverse borrower base. I picked up on this one in a TMF video and don't know much about the company but it's worth following in CAPS. The market in general looks fair valued to me, some would argue over valued and the economy seems destined for slow growth for a while so I'm betting the dividend outperforms the S&P 500. The recent increase in interest rates is hitting the MREIT's hard, I don't know if that's the case with PSCE although I suspect it is; there could also be some share price upside as rates stabilize and spreads potentially widen for this company. I don't see another recession any time soon but this is a company I'd probably be quick to let go if it looked like a recession was coming. as long as the economy at least slogs along I think this stock will do well.

Getting the job done. Making loans and giving small dividend increases to the shareholders.

PSEC's ability to fix its liabilities and have floating rates on its assets will likely produce an ongoing profitable business if they can wisely choose their client and expanding asset base. Based on reinvested dividends this company will outperform the market.

I think PSEC's yield will lead it to outperform the S&P 500. You may be interested in my article here: http://www.fool.com/investing/general/2013/08/18/2-dividend-stocks-to-buy-if-rates-go-higher.aspx

* 85% of its portfolio is floating rate
* Virtually all of its liabilities are fixed-rate
* 75% of the portfolio is first lien, secured debt
* No defaults or non-accruals in the nearly 6 years since the financial crisis.

I see the S&P 500 as fairly valued. Therefore, I think the current 12% yield from PSEC will beat and exceed the market over time. Furthermore, I like its exposure to rising rates, since its floating rate debt will generate larger spreads on increasing rates.

PSEC is quickly becoming my favorite BDC. I'm strongly considering a position in my own real money portfolio.
