This stock has enjoyed the run up along with the general market since March 09. However, has business been that robust since then to merit almost a 50% gain in value? I don't think so. PSS has traditionally been cyclical with the next big selling season coming during back to school. Until then it needs to rid itself of overabundant inventory build up over the last few months. This means markdowns and lowered profit margins. Sales in its Stride rite side is shaky at best as consumers tighten up. Where is the sustained profits to justify this current run up going to come from? The company can only cut costs for so long.

High debt, and it's a store in the mall. I'm shorting. Often times people will get the same shoes at Target instead.
