This stock is just plain cheap! 2.6 million ounces proven already, with estimates all the way up to 10 million provable ounces in the ground. Long Term winner, or possible buyout candidate.

Again... standing on the shoulders of giants. My intuition tells me that the double dip is probably coming, paper money is getting deflated, and actual commodities are going to be at a premium. I picked this guy because it was a mining company that sounds like good potential and is cheap comparatively. I only had so much cash lying around the bottom of my account!

This is a highly speculative play. The firm has not generated any revenues to date and it does not seem like they will in the near future. Very risky investment, so be careful if investing with real money.
This is not a mining company in the traditional sense.... they only perform the mining exploration portion of the business. From what I can find, they are not looking to generate revenue by managing mines. This company is simply attempting to prove reserves on the land they have acquired and partner with another company to mine the properties. It also seems relatively evident that they will be putting themselves / part of the business up for sale given any sort of significant discovery.
The major project they are working on currently is the San Miguel Project. The following is a note from their website, " Since Feb 2007, when Paramount initially released their first National Instrument 43-101 compliant mineral resource estimate they have successively increased their resource over 250%. In February 2007 the estimate was 800,000 ounces of Gold Equivalent, then in June 2008 it was upgraded to 1,800,000 ounces of gold equivalent and then most recently in November 2008 the resource increased again to 2,645,000 ounces of Gold equivalent at San Miguel. Paramount is confident that there is tremendous potential to continue resource growth with further drilling." So they have proven 2.6MM ounces already, not a bad start.
They plan to continue drilling to maximize the proven reserves for the property and put it up for sale. Rough estimates indicate there could be as much as 10MM proven ounces of gold or more. Rough back of the envelope calculation, I get share price closer to $8-10 a share IF they can prove the 10MM ounces of reserves exist. For this share price to come to fruition, however, they would need to limit share dilution, which I am not sure they would be able to accomplish. I honestly have no idea how much drilling they have left to prove the reserves exist -- and I don't think they know either. Note there are already 107MM outstanding shares, any sort of additional financing, which seems very likely, could dilute this pool of shares even further. Like I said highly speculative play... but worth a shot for a potential multi-bagger.

Paramount Gold is a Junior gold stock that is trying to prove up to 10 Million ounces of gold by mid 2010. They own several land projects in Mexico, one of which is the San Miguel project, that surrounds a gold company called Coeur d' Alene. Once they prove up top 10 Million ounces of gold they should put the company up for sale. You can visit their web site at:
http://www.paramountgold.com/
They could receive a $2 Million royalty payment in April 2010 if Garibaldi exercises their option.
Other junior gold stocks have been bought out for several times their current value once they prove substantial gold finds.

Paramount does not expect to generate revenues from the San Miguel project in the next year. Further, it is not Paramount's objective to enter the mine management business. Rather, the Company hopes to identify a resource that will enable it to attract a larger company to partner with this company who has experience developing and managing a mine.

Hurray for Gold!!! Hurray for Silver!!! Hurray for Oil!!! Hurray for Base Metals!!! Down with $US!!! Down with US Banks!!! Up with US stock market nominal basis!!! Down with US stock market real basis!!! Down with US Houses!!! Down with Citigroup!!! Down with US Economy!!! and DOWN WITH INFIDELS!!!!!!!!
Whoever shorts metals company because of no revenue is stupid!!! Why trade good metals for bad $US just to report revenue!!! A company can have no revenue, just sleep, but if the price of their metals go up, market cap go up! All metals miners should stop producing, have no worthless $US revenues, and wait until supply goes down until Gold hits $5000 then to sell their metals!!!

As Ron Struthers (Struthers' Resource Stock Report) puts it, Paramount's San Miguel project looks like it will prove to be the next major North American silver discovery. To date, more than 12,000 meters have been drilled and more than 1,800 metres of trenching have been completed on just 3.3 kilometers of more than 8 kilometers of strike at San Miguel. Results have been impressive. An NI 43-101 Technical Report dated January 26, 2007 reported an inferred resource of 38M oz silver equivalent, with a cost of less than US $0.07 per oz of silver. And Paramount expects to increase this resource significantly in 2007/2008, through a 50,000 meter drilling program. The strike zone, which remains open in all directions, runs close to the surface. With roads already in place, the San Miguel project gives every indication of a prolific silver deposit that can be mined extremely economically. Add to all that a world class management team and Paramount should be a big winner. The current bull market in precious metals is just icing on the cake.

A precious metal mining company which has just started explorations and has some limited success, but at this time they have started from the bottom and will rise as soon as a reasonable and profitable gold or silver quantity is hit. Hopefully pretty soon.
