I like it so much I have real money backing up this pick.

As the Alt-energy sector sits right now it's tough to see which individual companies will survive (although I've got some favorites) but this allows for broad sector exposure and should see solid, if not spectacular growth over at least the next 5 years.

I think that Alternative Energy market will only continue to grow as Oil Peak and Global Warming affect our energy supply choices. ETFs are a good way to add diversity while minimizing fees. So I'm snapping up a few Alternative Energy focused ETFs with high outperform ratings while they are near their 52 week lows and I'll ride them into our, hopefully much greener future!

I think this will perform well over the long haul. Five years minimum. I think this index is a better choice than trying to find the next Amazon.com of solar or wind.

Although oil will still be king for the forseeable future clean tech is already making inroads and should grow almost exponentially. Be it wind, solar, bio fuels or what ever, as a group they are only a small part of 1 percent of the total energy complex and will take years to make a significant dent in oil. Long term buy!!!

US companies that are primarily manufacturers, developers, distributors, or installers of clean-energy technologies. Includes companies that reduce the need for petroleum, such as bioplastics and energy efficiency.

With Obama in office this ETF should see some pretty decent growth in the coming years. With primary allocations in technology, industrials, and oil & gas, and only dealing in clean energy companies, I see a lot of growth coming out of this one. Definitely a long term play with top holdings in Linear Technology Corp(LLTC), First Solar Inc (FSLR), MEMC Electronic Materials Inc (WFR), and Suntech Power Holdings Co Ltd (STP) to name just a few.

Clean energy should be here to stay.

And with the price of conventional energy rising, investing in clean energy seems the right way to go.

Transformations: global businesses around the world will invest in energy productivity in order to relieve the strain on the world economy and the environment. Cleaner energy will allow us to save hundreds of billions of dollars. Annie Leonard says we are consuming the world's resources at an unsustainable rate and I believe that businesses will need to do something about it.

Because of energy prices going up, created demand is forced to find innovative resources, that are not only seen as long term alternative, but also environmentally friendly... with this in mind QCLN is a keeper until the sun finish to exist...

Small cap clean energy ETF. Down today on decline of solar stocks. Solar and other clean energy is the only way to go and eventually people will wake up and quit destroying our planet. This is a good way to get into the sector if you don't want to do the research and have the risk of individual stocks.
