Expect increasing demand for powerful and flexible mobile communication solutions. Qualcom holds a solid position with products and technology standards to accomplish this.

Telecom & Tech in general will lead the next recovery. Among lots of technology, wireless communication devices are comming of age, and QCom has proven itself to be a both visionary and extremely well managed.
QCom will be to the wireless industry what MSFT is / was to software (think 1995 to 2000) and Cisco is / was to broadband.

Recently signed a 15 year contract w/ Nokia to suppy chips. This should make them a ton of money. Also Cramer's only pick for the semiiconductor market.

Qualcomm is strong in communication mkts, especially wireless and continues to dominate those markets.

This company is rated one of the 100 best managed companies and one of the 100 best to work for. It has achieved huge growth in the past several years. As I rate this, though, the price is a little steep at $51.89 --- I'd rather wait to get a little better value when I want to buy.
Recs
very overvalued

Best in class + Strong cash flows = One of the few companies left that can afford to push the high-end.

Huge insider selling. Lot's of cash, but very little growth potential.

While Qualcomm has been enjoying all the fees they have and will collect from the telecommunication industry, they shouldn't be too happy about it as the competition heat up and cell phone makers start cutting their price tag to gain market share. Recent heavy insider selling from Qualcomm also adds uncertainty to its stocks future appreciation.

Had nice run up....not sure how much steam is left

Increased expectations for revenue and earnings, board of directors approved 14% increase in dividends, $2billion stock repurchase.

as CDMA and related technoligies get more acceptance into China and other other Asia nations, the revenue stream just for license fees is going to increase and give a steady income.
Existing customers will want to get streaming media in their cell phones and video conferencing. Mediaflo will do this.
They are dominant in their field and if all the lawsuits get resolved ... watchout.

China is rolling out 3G soon. India is soon to follow. Think the worst is behind the company, hopefully.
Recs
With a lot of the legal baggage getting resolved and the new technology announcements QCOM is set to out perform after a long period in the doldrums.
Unique technological edge and the royalty stream from mobile phone oems the outlook is good.
Recs
The corporation owns many income producing patents and proprietary technology and coupled with wide world demand for pda phones and in general phones with streaming content including access to e-mails Qualcomm is in position to make a lot of money.
Recs
I work for AT&T and we just release Mobile TV on cell phones using MediaFlo technology. MediaFlo technology is developed by Qualcomm and they are increasing their presence in the industry with it. I expect quite a few new phones to come out this year and next with this technology, so i would have to assume this will do good things for this stock.
