Don't know much about this company, except that Micron is a competitor. Both companies lost gross margin because of product price. The DRAM was commoditized I believe. Anyway, not likely they're going to get that price back up. They have massive book value, over $10 per share, but a significant ...More

They have massive book value, over $10 per share, but a significant portion of that is tied up in real estate. That's good right? It would be, except they are in the process of completing sale/leasebacks on all their properties. This is where they sell the property and then lease it back from the buyer. This will provide additional cash to the company, at the expense of a significant drop in book value. They plan to reinvest the proceeds into the company. So you don't want to buy this for the book value. Apparently they're starting to get into some solar cell technology, which may turn things around, but as of now this company looks shaky and getting shakier. Recs 0 (QI) SBeren (< 20) Submitted: 5/15/08 8:49 AM : Start Price: $4.49 QI Score: -55.24 Infineon had a huge stake in QI which they have been unwinding; undoubtedly this caused a huge oversupply of shares on the market, especially in one where few have been buying. This is on top of solid-state memory manufacturers having problems of their own. Not overly sure on this pick, and this may certainly not be a best-of-breed company, but it looks oversold to me.
