Although they do have debt, they never seem to have problems raising private capital. I am buying because it is very cheap leading up to the Fiskar introduction, but also due to their recent and future sales of NG conversion tanks for short/medium haul trucking. Also, they have their hands in hydrogen power. No matter whether solar, hydrogen or natural gas takes up the slack for higher oil prices, they should see some profit down the line. Fingers crossed.

Quantum has 60 million dollars in cumulative contracts and counting with Fisker. Next reported Quarter is likely to be a humdinger.
There is a Nasdaq hearing on Oct 7th for 180 extension which could negate a reverse split option which would also give them a 180 day extension to comply, shareholders have all ready voted down the RS option once. Quantum doesn't need the RS option to regain compliance convencingly.
New strategic alliance possibly in the works with GM. I would not count Ford out or an unnamed Chinese company but the evidence leans towards GM. The military is actively promoting the CERV which is Quantum's product through a strategic alliance with Tardec.
GM is actively seeking partnerships with companies to gain access to new electric vehicle systems. The technology GM acquired from Quantum for the Volt is out dated. Quantum's new systems was independently rated in Europe last year as being superior.
GM does have a strategic alliance with Quantum and owns preferred stock. The strategic alliance is for gaseous storage products and development but no strategic alliance exists for them in concerns to Quantum's new proprietary drive systems.
Quantum is hiring engineers for a new OEM production system this could be for Fisker's Nina line that will be in testing in 2011 or another OEM as stated above.
Research Hawaii GM and Shell.
Quantum provides the products for GM's Equinox vehicles and supplies the products for Shell hydrogen stations.

Research Lockheed Martin and Quantum. I would be surprised if the Federal Government doesn't throw Quantum a bone from the USPS or the Military. The Army is actively promoting the CERV vehicle which is Quantum's product through a strategic alliance with TARDEC.

They are about to produce their luxury sports car, the Fisker Karma, and when GM goes IPO again I bet this stock will rise on that news due to their partnership with them.

The sales of the Fiskar, which Quantum is the OEM and part owner, is sold out for 2009 and orders are being taken for 2010. Even if the industry is young the outlook for future opportunities, not only with autos, is positive. Whoever winds up in office is pushing the US to invest further into alternative power and Quantum is diverse enough to have growth potential.
