Maker of the Q drive for the Fisker Karma. For those who want to look good going down the road and feel good not buying gasoline.

Quantum is just starting to acquire new contracts with big firms.

Its technology is hot now and will be even hotter as the barrel keeps climbing.

Great long term stock. (2 - 4 years)
Alternative fuel cars.
Great stock to have in portfolio.
Plus it's cheap and they have great long term value, so why not buy.

Good tech and will get lots of publicity when Karma launches next year In at 2.25 out at 5.0 (1-2 year)

Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies. Enough said. By my estimation this stock is all flash and no substance and all I really needed to tell me that was the name.

Pretty good company in the alternative energy sector that is relatively cheap. It's a "penny stock" (<$5/share) but I think it has positioned itself well for some strong growth over the next few years with some good exposure to solar energy, hybrid drives, and hydrogen fuel cells.

Shorting while I still can.

Keep an eye on this stock. One of two things will probably be happening:

A. It will go up & up & up due to increased income & revenues due to their agreements and research being done for GM, Ford, Toyota and others.
or
B. It will fly as it's a possible takeover target - as they are the leaders in the technology of hybridization of automobiles with the use of hydrogen as a main fuel (with electric power as the starter fuel).

They posess OEM knowledge as well as the patents to back it up, for innovations & the production of auto engines powered by hydrogen, machines which create hydrogen fuel using electrolysis at a reasonable price, hydrogen storage and hydrogen delivery apparatus AND in the production of non-leaking hydrogen tanks for use in automobiles (hydrogen tends to leach through conventional metal storage tanks and Quantum has figured out how to use carbon-fiber based products to line the inside & thus halting the leakage and also creating lighter-weight and stronger storage tanks) .

If you thought the DeLorean was nice - take a look at the Fisker 2010 hybrid with Q-drive and take a gander at the look of the VERY NEAR upscale & economic automotive future.

Oh yeah - did I mention that they also do a LOT of hydrogen power research for the US Military?...

International deals: China with alt fuel; Norway/Euro hydrogen fuel cells... Just dragged a bit by auto parts supply element. Auto parts are cyclical, hydrogen play is long haul. They've got the connections/relationships and the engineering R&D.

In the last 3 months (mar - Jun '07), this stock has signed two more significant contracts for Batteries and solar panel research, another contract to provide engineering and design services for Force Protection's military vehicles, delivered a working Hydrogen Hybrid vehicle to fuel up at Norway's first Hydrogen Hyway fueling station, and most importantly for the investor, risen about 40% or $0.45 per share in price.

Although this company is highly leveraged it appears they have assembled all the key pieces and alliances to position themselved for the coming change in America's mobility issue and it's divorce form petroleum powered cars. These are inevitable changes. And major social changes like this usually require major players to make an impact and propel the followers. In the energy sector this means the US government. The fact that the US Army is exploring cost reduction and energy independance for its vehicles through companies like Quantum is a very solid reason to believe this company wil not only survive but come out a leader.

Buy it now before this one gets away from you.

Alternative energy will be big and well managed companies should perform well.

A respected leader in applied hydrogen fuel cell technology. As Peak Oil runs its course, this company, I believe, will move this technology forward based on its expertise demonstrated to-date.

They are receiving military contracts for a diesel hybrid engines, they have received contracts to for India for alternative fueling systems. They also have received contracts with china's automaker to improve their hybrid vehicles.

I seriously feel this stock is truly undervalued.

5 star stock after horrible day

With the contracts with the military, General Motors and the state of California, I think that this company will have many years of growth.

Why is this alt-energy pick different from the others? Why will this one (hopefully) scrape itself away from near-bankruptcy?
Because this obscure company has scored two major contracts in the past month: Lockheed and the US Army.
As much as I hate to play the contrarian, and I really hate upping alt-energy stocks, this stock is about as undervalued as you can get.
Of course, if I'm wrong, you all can laugh at me as you ride this one down zero.

Tectstar will not continue dragging down the profit, as it will improve its numbers as it does for cycles.

Quantum will receive larger orders without requiring heavy investment.
