Recovering steadily from being over leveraged due to acquitions. In a strong growth retail niche dominated by only three companies only.

Reinventing stores to make money. The industry is doing good too, but I'm not sure for how long.

For play and for real. This is one of the better turn around stories. As I write this, the company is selling at a very high 147X book value. All other metrics, however, show that RAD is selling at a bargain basement price. 4.1 PE (ttm). Most impressive, though, is the 4xMRQ PE of 1.16, and this for a non-season business. I've been following this company for 20 years. They have finally gotten their managerial act together.

This stock has hit the point of turning around. give it about 6-8 months from now to see the stock begin to show some solid growth and take market share.

Don't really like it at $8 but long term so will be okay if it comes in a bit.

They are making smart financial decisions. They get a big tax break for buying.. Rite Aid will acquire EnvisionRx, a portfolio company of leading global private investment firm TPG, in a transaction valued at approximately $2 billion, which includes the value of an expected future tax benefit of $275 million

One thing that's sometimes missed here is their miraculous recovery over the last 15 years. And how well they have managed their crushing debt burden.

Sure it has big debt. But the resulting earnings from the recent buys will set it up to be a major player in health services.

Solid business model. Will slowly chip away at Walgreens and cvs. Will double in 5 years.

I like the McKesson distribution deal, and I think after a significant pull back, it's time to get back into RAD. They keep showing sales increases, and I look for that to continue through the holiday season. In the short term, the Apple Pay brouhaha is meaningless. We'll see about that longer term.

1. Wellness+ program rewards people and keeps them coming back.
2. "According to the U.S. Census Bureau, there are more than 77 million boomers in the U.S. and by 2030, this demographic (born between 1946 and 1964) will represent an estimated 20% of the population. This means more than 10,000 baby boomers will turn 65 every day for the next 19 years." Look for an influx of 65+ aged retirees needing prescription. Check out their Wellness65+ program.
3. Affordable Healthcare Act. + Generic Drugs + McKesson deal = great long term growth opportunity.
4. Redoing a lot of run down stores.
5. New stores look amazing. The one down my street is new and looks clean and fresh. The customer service is very good too.
