If the economy continues to struggle this should be a good defensive stock as they produce a variety of packaged food products. I think the company is about 11% undervalued at its current price.
Recs
Increasing revenue, good fundamentals, people will enjoy cheap cereal during the recession.
Recs
This is a defensive play since RAH is a supplier of store brand food products to major grocery store chains and supercenters. These brands do better when economic times are tough. Most of its brands have held their prices while production costs have dropped. Third quarter net was up 63.3% on a 51% increase in revenue showing the effects of cost reduction and revenue gains. Cash flow has generated a 221% gain over the past year. With its price currently below the 52 week mid-point and having outperformed the S&P for all but the past few weeks, it is likely that RAH will resume its outperformance as the S&P finally succumbs to bear market pressures.
Recs
RAH appears toknow how to pick 'em, at least with respect to performance over recent months. Hold but verify with a jaundiced eye
Recs
Remember how popular generic grocery items were in the recession of 1982? Well, that's the sort of success that store brands will enjoy in 2009.
Recs
Low cost food, good for company because Wal-Mart is going to start doing more business with them. Listen to wal-marts earnings conference

Remove goodwill from balance sheet (which grew by 400% in 1 year), and stock holder's equity becomes worthless.

Private Label Manufacturer in a recession...as close to a no brainer as I can think of.
Recs
This conservative pick in the food products industry is a strong buy (LN). Buy at 68.67...check in 12-18 months.
Recs
Strong, consistent leadership (directors have been around 10+ years), growth in times of recession (acquisition of Post Cereal), seem to point that this company is stable has potential to perform well.
Recs
Pick price $53.59. Store brand grocery's are one way people cut back in a recession. Should do well the next year or so.
Recs
save cash and eat...
Recs
Cheap food is cheaper. This is what people will be buying instead of name brands...
Recs
I only buy store brand to begin with.
