Making aggressive investments into changing the industry; branching out of traditional auctions to drive real value growth

The best run and largest auction company of its kind. If you add up the sales of its 40 nearest competitors they still are less than ritchie bros sales. Having both purchased and sold equipment with them in the last 30 years I have seen many changes but one thing remains constant. They treat all customers as if the customer is their most valued. Combine that with the best real time internet bidding in the bussiness, management that knows their stuff and dedicated employee's and you have a company that is going to make money in good and bad times.
Recs
Leading worldwide auctioneer of heavy equipment, gaining share.

With the stimulus legislation contractors will need heavy equipment at discounted prices.

Simply the best auction company in the world. They are the only international player in the equipment space and the world is no longer a collection of domestic markets. Big trucks from Alberta are sold to China and India. Transport is not a factor anymore. These guys have so much growth potential.
Recs
As the economy softens, RBA will be where people turn more and more to buy and sell their equipment. They are a bit bloated for my taste, but for at least the next year they should still be able to outperform (not that's saying much...)
Recs
Ritchie Bros. is the largest equipment auctioneer in the world. They are growing, and having record breaking auctions each year. In addition, they have added internet access to their auctions, and this is increasing exposure and increasing bidders in each and every auction. They do well in both up and down times, and are fairly recession proof, since they don't have to purchase any inventory, just take a cut off of each sale!

i've heard some negatives abotu this Company being a bloated Pig of sorts. But the fact is, they seem to be doing better than their compatition when it comes to generation income growth and growing market share. they have a clean balance sheet, growing income, and great management. they have a well recognized neame in th eindustry(which i feel means a lot). i like the company.
Recs
Canadian company with 110 offices worldwide. Largest industrial equipment auctioneer in the world. Over 175 auctions/year. As the economy slows a bit, compaines become more interested in buying and selling surplus equipment. 18% yoy quarterly revenue growth, 4X more cash than debt, 1.5% forward dividend yield, Price/Book 5.46. Building trust among clientele making it hard for others to cut in... wide moat.
