A surprisingly low P/E makes me think this might be a great value buy. I haven't done much more looking than this, and don't plan on buying any. Just marking it to watch it.

I'm picking this stock with almost no due diligence...
RBCAA does 3 things:
1.) Traditional Banking
2.) Tax Refunds
3.) Mortgage banking
P/E is currently 4.5 (In the last 10 Years its traded between 18.8 and 3.9)
P/S is currently 1.6 (In the last 10 years its traded between 3 and 1)
P/B is currently .9 (n the last 10 years it's traded between 2.7 and .9)
My big concern with all banks is the leverage. 500M market cap, about 3B in assets and 3B in liabilities. If the Assets decrease by about 15% or so then it's underwater.
Careful here.

my recovering bank stock. Same pitch as every other recovering regional...just had to pick one with good upside.

I think this is a good stock in an out of favor sector. I expect the price to increase to reflect a P/E of 10, which is a price of $30.
RBCAA has solid earnings over the past 3 years. The Refund Anticipation Loan (RAL) and Tax Refund Solutions (TRS) program has been posting solid and rising earning during the 1Q of the past three years. Dividends have been paid even through the financial meltdown.
The only question on the horizen is the FDIC's hearings relating to RAL/TRS. I suspect that it will lower FY12's 1Q results but not seriously impact overall earnings.

Small regional bank. Was ranked #10 out of 150 banks in overall performance in Feb 2009. Very well run bank that didn't lose its head with the sub prime crisis.

I simply used the screener to identify 1-star companies with the highest 52-week gain. The 1-star rating should mean they are bad companies and the 52-week gain should mean they are overpriced. We’ll see how it works!

Nothing encouraging there.
