RBY just hit bonanaza grade gold in the Red Lake district. We're talking to the tune of between 10 and 26 ounces per ton. The amount of gold per ton was so high that trading was halted on the news.
In comparison with other gold miners, Barrick Gold's Goldstike Mine yields .15 ounces per ton. The Yanacocha Mine in Peru averages .024 ounces per ton. And these gold concentrations are considered superb deposits. Even Goldcorp only averaged 2 ounces per ton in a particularly rich gold vein.
16 ounces per ton is definitely a bonanza grade find and you are going to see a huge run-up in the next few years. What you see at a dollar and change today will be $10 tomorrow. You just never know when the market is going to wake up with this hidden goldmine.
The market has been ignoring it for years but these assay results as well as coverage initiated by major firms equals an increase in PPS over the next few months, followed by a steady run-up when people finally wake up.

This is a stock to get nervously excited about. Excited, because the potential for return is spoken of in terms of "bagger", as in 5-bagger or 10-bagger if you had gotten in early. Nervous, because nothing like the potential I'm seeing here ever happens for me. Rubicon has excellent management running the show, money in the coffers, a smart and supportive major fellow shareholder in Primo Gold Man Rob McEwan, and drill results that have hit gold in EVERY hole drilled to date. Bonanza results have been pulled out of the earth. As RBY's Phoenix property sits immediately adjacent to Goldcorp's world renowned property.........well, just think about that for a second, ........then go to RBY's website to view the maps/presentation/data yourself, and get in before this thing takes off. If RBY is not somehow taken over by a major miner, then it will itself become a mid or major company a few years down the road. This thing is glittering brightly.......and not just because it's a gold mining stock.

Another gold mining company with Rob McEwen heavily involved (he owns 32% of the company). This man is the gold mining wizard. He purchased about the same amount of US Gold Corp in 2005, and the share price has since increased 2000%. He is founder and CEO of GoldCorp Inc., which under his tenure has grown from a market cap of 50 mil to 10 billion.
This company has received good reports from recent exploration.
It looks like an easy double or triple.

Rubicon is priced at around $2.80 per share which is consistent with a resource of approximately 3 million ounces at their Red Lake F2 zone. When I say consistent, I mean Osisko's market cap and their documented reserves is at a market cap that is roughly equivalent with Rubicon's current price if Rubicon winds up with a 3 million ounce resource.
Basically, I think Rubicon's resource will wind up being a lot more than 3 million ounces. Deposits at Red Lake wind up growing consistently over time for the most part. My own back of the envelope calcs tell me Rubicon probably has 5 milllion ounces or more in their F2 property which would support a price in the $5 plus range in the next two years as the resource becomes more clearly delineated.
Additionally, Agnico Eagle tried to get a foothold in Red Lake but was pushed out by Goldcorp's acquistion of the Bruce Channel deposit so I think Agnico Eagle may try again and Rubicon might be their target.

Rob McEwan, one of the smartest guys in the mining business, recently took a huge stake in this co. The likelihood of a MAJOR mine coming out of their current drilling program is very high. McEwen will manage all phases perfectly. I'm in as hard as I can go!

This is a long term prediction - Don't worry about 15% dips or peaks at this price that is expected. One of the Industry's leading Experts purchased 45% (between two companies UXG) interest in RBY. Any to quote Wikipedia talking about his last company GG Gold Corp http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rob_McEwen
"Since July 2005, when McEwen became US Gold’s largest shareholder and shortly thereafter the company’s Chairman and CEO, its share price has increased by approximately 2,300% as the company pursues its goal of becoming Nevada’s premier exploration company"
This guy has just personally invested $10m do you reckon he has done his homework.....because i do! Going in Hard! Lets see the $$$ 2008-2009

TSX:RMX / NYSE Amex:RBY
TORONTO, Aug. 31 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - Rubicon Minerals Corporation (RMX.TSX: RBY.NYSE-AMEX) is pleased to provide an update on its drilling on its 100%-owned Phoenix Gold Project, located in the heart of the prolific Red Lake Gold District of Ontario. Five drill rigs are currently in operation on the project, three on surface and two from underground on the 122-metre level as part of the ongoing 80,000-metre drill program. Prior to this program, the company had drilled approximately 65,000 metres on the high-grade F2 Zone since its discovery in March, 2008 (see numerous releases since March 12, 2008 and www.rubiconminerals.com for further details).
Drilling Update
---------------
In its March 30, 2009 news release, Rubicon announced an 80,000-metre
drill program designed to expand the known extent of the F2 Zone system. The
planned drilling will test a 1200-metre by 1600-metre target area, and is
referred to as the '9X drill plan' as outlined in Figures 1 and 2.
Northeast extension
-------------------
New drilling to the northeast has intersected several units of mineralized host F2 basalts which are up to 20 metres true thickness. New intercepts occur between 150 metres and 450 metres below surface and are outlined in Figures 1 and 2. They include both high-grade gold and broader gold-bearing sulphide sections including 1.35 oz/ton over 6.6 feet at a vertical depth of 709 feet (216 metres) below surface (46.4 g/t gold over 2.0 metres) and 0.19 oz/ton over 19.7 feet at a vertical depth of 1014 feet (309 metres) below surface (6.41 g/t gold over 6.0 metres) in hole F2-72 and 0.73 oz/ton over 3.3 feet at a vertical depth of 738 feet (225 metres) below surface (24.95 g/t gold over 1.0 metre) in hole 122-08. Significant results are presented in Table 1, below. The character of the mineralization and hosts rocks is similar to that in the main F2 core zone, located to the southwest and opens up a significant new area for additional exploration.
"The 21% increase in strike length of the F2 gold system is very encouraging and significantly expands its potential. Target areas 3 and 4 in our 9X program are beginning to fill in and surface drilling will continue to test for expansion of the system to the northeast. As we showed in our last release, we know there are good gold hits at shallow levels up to two kilometres to the north at our Island Zone, and we are interested to see if F2 continues to expand towards those areas" stated David Adamson, President and CEO.
Southwest drilling
------------------
New results confirm that the F2 system is present on both sides of a fault previously intersected in Target area 3 (Figure 2). These results are further confirmed by the presence of previous intercepts in holes F2-39 and F2-66. The presence of faults in the F2 gold system is to be expected and is considered to be a prerequisite for significant sized 'lode-gold' deposits of his type.
Deep Drilling
-------------
Three master holes (F2 65 to F2-67) were terminated in hanging wall
ultramafic at depths ranging from 1260 metres to 1740 metres. They will be
used to carry out wedges at shallower elevations designed to penetrate the
footwall F2 target.

Assaying and Qualified Person

Assays were conducted on sawn NQ-sized half core sections. Further drilling is required before the true widths of reported intercepts can be determined. The saw blade is routinely cleaned between samples when visible gold is noted during logging and sampling of the drill core. Assays were conducted by SGS Minerals Services using standard fire assay on a 30 gram (1 assay ton) sample with a gravimetric finish procedure. Assays are uncut as is standard practice in Red Lake. One of the best junior gold explorers in the world. Rubicon is well financed (and backed by Rob McEwan), has dedicated and well qualified management, and possesses a massive land package in Canada's most prolific gold region with insane bonanza drill grades that give their dues to this property's rich history.
This is a gold bull market that hasn't even warmed up yet. The companies that will profit the most from this bull are the juniors that are able to rapidly expand their reserves and move into production. I think that Rubicon and Goldspring (GSPG OTC) will be amongst these winners and generate market destroying returns over the next 5 years.
