Emerging world-class generic drug company. Underrepresented in most India funds. Ultraconservative S&P gives it five stars. Takeover candidate. Good pipeline. Quality investable midcap.

cheap labor, strong asian market, generic drugs. recently established a discovery lab with plans to develop proprietary drugs

I bought this in real life last fall at about $10, so I'm a happy camper.

Numbers look excellent

RDY is capturing a very large share of the generic drug market, worldwide. Revenue, EPS and Guidance are all better than S& P 500.

View this as a takeover target by a company looking to have pharma development overseas (i.e. lower labor costs). With Obamacare, I think the demand for generics will go up even further, and some company will want to get into the generics business or increase their generic business, and this is a perfect company for takeover for that

Indian company with world market for Generic drugs that Obama will guarantee multiyear growth. With Teva the class of the sector because of management expertise and cost benefits.. Fda concerns now in ther past Pe going forward ignores huge potential in U.S. alone

Indian Pharmaceutical, successful and will grow to become even more successful

Generic pharms still have a lot of growth potential as more and more drug's patents expire

This generic drug manufacturer is based in India so they have relatively low overhead. Also they are located in the area of the world that has 70% of the world's population, which means lots of people needing medications. And being that India & China are relatively poor relative to Europe or the US they really like cheap generic drugs. I'll buy now that the price is about $8 and sell at $16 or so.

Good stuff. Medicine is big and will only get bigger.

Huge generic drugs market in India.

I see bright things for this company in the future. They have a 4 biologics in the pipeline and 3 acquisitions over the last couple years. But these will not bear fruit for a while. Also RDY is still a young global company that needs to deal with growth in a profitable manner, not just for the sake of growth. They will turn to outperformers in about 2-3 years.

seems like a good long term sector favourite with room for upside.

Dr.Reddy's is (in)famous for picking up drugs immediately after the patents expire and minting money. They are into generic drugs. with Walmart's $4 drugs, the demand for generic drugs from overseas is high. I wouldn't trust the chinese to give me medicine but Indian Pharma industry is quite well developed. Dr.Reddy's Labs makes good money domestically as well as through exports to Americas and Africa. With generic drugs, cost is the only barrier with no much research required.

india will continue to grow for years

Generic Drug Maker....Plus research...Need I say more?

RDY has lurched from problem to problem (losing a key lawsuit, collapse of the Indian market) but seems well poised to make a strong comeback from today's level ($13.76).

India's growth will only gain more ground in the global markets. This company will be one of its many top performers over time.Has already started paying dividend yield.Just kicked off in september 2007 in the OTC drug market with U.S.,and will be launching several new products in up coming quarters with its massive pipeline of customers worldwide, the potential outlook of growth here is AWESOME! Already has launched authorized generic products simvastatin and finasteride of Merk's zocar, and proscar Just put out a new generic form of PFE's zyrtec and looking to put out a generic form of GSK's imitrex over the next year or so along with many other prospects.Look for this one to make a major impact on the global markets, and is already doing so.FDA has already granted final approval for its new drug application (ANDA) for ranitidine (Zantac) India is still underdeveloped in ways business wise and it will take a little time to work kinks out,but work them out they will as the country's growth moves forward. One to take a hard look at for sure.
