It seems to me that this stock has a tendency to decline during a panic and then rebounds when things cool off. I think, but not too sure, it's time to buy. Only time can tell but I strongly feel this Energy company is a winner.

Oil dropping on expiring contracts today. Oil demand will increase once again after the Olympics (as China is limiting car/factory usage to try to improve the air quality temporarily.)
After the Olympics... oil demand will rise. You can decide for yourself what will happen afterwards.
I also see natural gas rebounding in the near future, as oil rises in price.

This former oil monopoly in Spain, still dominates the oil distribution in the country, giving the company a very stable revenue & earning basis. Today it is strongly diversified into latin America and into field exploration. Expected 2008 PE around 10 average for the industry, but should benefit from the general trend of higher oil prices, and do well for the next year or so.
The company was hit when it was forced to review its proven oil reserves a couple of years ago, but it recently soared on the news of one of the biggest discovered deep-water fields in Brazil, called carioca. I expect they can build on that and follow the good oil industry trend mid-term.

Say hello to the summer driving season, along with constant supply troubles around the world. The growing situation with Iran isn't helping the price consumers will pay for gas, and if McCain is elected, say hello to $200 a barrel oil becuase of his stance on Iran and the middle east in general. "bomb bomb bomb...bomb bomb Iran" (McCain at one of his rallies).

Repsol owns 25% of the following:
Brazil holds an estimated 12 billion barrels of crude reserves, South America's second-largest deposit behind Venezuela, according to London-based BP Plc. Should the 33 billion-barrel estimate for Carioca be confirmed by additional drilling, Brazil's reserves would then surpass those of Libya.
``The Carioca well on Block 9 had been tested last year, with reserves put at around than 500 million barrels,'' UBS AG wrote today in an e-mailed report. ``We believe that this is misunderstanding of the names used and that the official was referring to the large `Sugar Loaf' structure on which Blocks BM-S- 9, 21 and 22 are located.''
Petrobras, as the company is known, yesterday said it's still drilling Block 9 in the Santos Basin. Petrobras holds 45 percent of the Carioca project.
