Resource America is a confusing company to comprehend with many financial assets that are difficult to value. I'm picking this one on a hunch. Despite little research I'm betting that the land and buildings they own and most of their deranged financial assets will see light at the end of this tunnel. They've been through difficult times before, insiders have bought at higher levels, and the market's broad sell off lead me to believe that Resource America will be looking at market beating gains over the next 5 years.

Growth rates look excellent
- Anuual Revenue Growth over 40%
- Earnings Growth over 30%
Excellent P/E ratio less than 20 for the growth.
Also like that they are not funding growth by issuing more shares.
I am concerned over how the debt has grown from 40 million to almost 700 million in a year.

Undervalued. Selling is overdone, expect at least a dead cat bounce, followed by a gradual recovery.

This company should probably go into my “too difficult” box. But when really smart guys like Whitney Tilson and Ken Shubin Stein (Spencer Capital) call this “cheap” and “tremendously undervalued,” it gets an automatic thumbs-up from me.

One of those sum of the parts plays...I think Tilson likes this one.

Need to keep an eye on this one.
