Gold and silver are by-products of Tinto's copper operations. The $105B company has a pricey 25 P/E, but pays a nice 2.5% dividend. This stock pays Fools to own it. Price action is currently POSITIVE: above the 10-day EMA, which is above 100-day trend.

Once the Euro situation eases and the global economy starts growing again, commodity prices will rise and Rio will do well.

Buying when it looks most bleak...

With expansion in diamond mining, this stock is due for a climb.

All those car factories being built in China need steel. who will provide the iron ore? The land down under will do it, mate. The sell-off on short-term drops in ore shipments has received absurd levels here, and a rebound is on tap. Great company, big dividend, and bigger prospects over the long haul. Throw another ingot on the barbie and pop a Fosters.

Ridiculously cheap.

The world needs materials, especially China and India and RIO will certainly benefit from this.
