The CPAP machine I use is by Fisher & Paykel Healthcare but ResMed's equipment is ubiquitous in the diagnostic and treatment centers for sleep disorders. Growing market share and a 20% yoy share price increase makes it a dependable, if not spectacular performer.

steady growth

rec'd it, then it ran on the resp acquisition. has come back now and long term i like it.

I am a Medicare provider of ResMed's line of products and have done so for the past 8 years. Medicare and the other insurers are shrinking the reimbursements to providers of this product (me) as the boomer population increases. Watch for the margins to go down on these products. They have to sell cheaper to companies like mine just to make it profitable for the retailers who supply it to the general public. I am paying less for the same product than I did four or five years ago. This is a trend that is coming for these medical equipment companies like ResMed who supply this stuff to retailers of medical equipment. The government (Medicare/Medicaid) is cutting their reimbursement rates so much, it's scary. They must reduce price or lose business.

No other devices come close to it

Down because of a recall, but this is still a very good business, seems well-managed. good time to buy.

As a OSA sufferer, I use RMD products, and I appreciate their quality. There are many people yet to learn of their apnea, and the product market for them has tremendous upside. RMD has shown solid growth to date, and I see no reason things will chance in the near future.

Has always been managed very well, with a focus on Sales AND Profits. Has industry leading products with a new family of products to be released later 2007. More stable then competitor, and who could have spelled sleep apnea 5 years ago . . . now it is advertised on the radio drive-time shows.

A clear winner in it's field. Main competitor appears to be RESP. Financials are very strong and they were recently upgraded by an Analyst. They're due to report on 2/6/2007 and I'm hoping for some upside. Currently a Mid-Cap.

Resmed makes high quality continuous positive airway pressure machines for people with sleep apnea. In addition to being a user of their products I'm impressed by their steay three year growth. Look around and count how many sleep disorder clinics you see on your way to work or play. This is a disorder that is booming in both diagnosis and treatment.

Sleep problems appear to be an old problem that the medical profession is now making a lot of money on.

Resmed management is top notch
