A clear winner in it's field. Main competitor appears to be RESP. Financials are very strong and they were recently upgraded by an Analyst. They're due to report on 2/6/2007 and I'm hoping for some upside. Currently a Mid-Cap.

Resmed makes high quality continuous positive airway pressure machines for people with sleep apnea. In addition to being a user of their products I'm impressed by their steay three year growth. Look around and count how many sleep disorder clinics you see on your way to work or play. This is a disorder that is booming in both diagnosis and treatment.

Quality product -- no close competitor although this could change. I agree with others that as boomers age, sleep orders will increase. Given there are solutions such as Resmed, this has to be a growing market.

As more people fall victim to the advertising of junk food as "health, normal food" and insist on living the life of instant gratification by popping diet pills that promise to take off the pounds, we will see more people falling victim to morbid obesity. With it comes complications of asthma. The latter is also increased by those who pick up the smoking habit and by environmental pollution. ResMed's specialty is in breathing aparati for those who have difficulty breathing.

Premier company in providing sleep apnia therapy. Strong and consistent management. Strong and sustained earnings growth over several years.
