Despite layoffs and a drop in stock in 2008, this company continues to acquire assets and grow.

TMF SA pick. Buying the commodity basic materials sector during a recession, the low period of this highly-cyclical sector. I have looked at both Alcoa and DOW but just couldn't pull the trigger on them individually, but I can with the risk mitigated through an ETF.

ETF for companies engaged in metals and mining, chemicals, construction materials, containers and packaging, and paper and forest products.

Trading at a .3 % discount and with expense ratio of .5%.
