In 2009, airlines are canceling orders because of the economic climate. Eventually, they are going to need those planes and the engines in them, though. Between population growth and the ascendancy of the developing world, it's hard to find a safer investment thesis in the long term than "more people will be using air travel". Rolls has the financial strength to cruise through until the recovery, and once airlines start playing catch up with their fleets, Rolls will be a big winner.
