Worth a gamble, if they survive - and they might not - the current price justifies a small investment ...

I think this stock has home run potential. The world is going green and this company is at the fore front of green tech in the automotive world.

The only explanation I have as to why I'm re-upping on Raser is that I'm bat@#$! insane! Thus far, this company has not shown that it's business model can be successful, nor has it given much evidence that it can foreseeably turn a profit in the future. While my portfolio is up over 75% over the past nine months, this has been one of my biggest losers. So, as you might realize, I'm a bit frustrated with RZ right now.

All the same, the short-sellers and the Raser bears are missing a lot of important things about this company. For one, Raser is breaking new ground here. They are the first company to experiment with UTX's Pure-Cycle technology for geothermal power. They've had some success thus far, but the problem has been much-slower-than-anticipated development. In a strange way, however, this might not be such a bad thing.

Raser's "know-how" in implementing these large scale geothermal projects using Pure Cycle is worth much more than the market is giving it credit for. It's taken years to acquire this "know-how" and if they are eventually successful, they are going to have a huge moat. That's one reason I like Raser more than the solar companies, which all compete in a very crowded market, in what is arguably a "commoditized industry". Raser is all alone in the lower-heat geothermal power generation market. (They do have strong competition in their motors & drives division, however.)

The other thing I like here --- I believe the market has consistently underestimated geothermal power as an alternative energy sources and has consistently overestimated solar as a viable energy sources. Solar is sexy. For some reason, geothermal is not. Yet, geothermal is light years ahead of solar in many ways. The only real issue is that geothermal is limited to certain thermal hot beds around the world. However, the Western United States from around Utah/ NW New Mexico all the way to the Pacific Northwest has great potential for geothermal. Raser is precisely the type of company positioned to take full advantage in the future.

There are a lot of risks with Raser including high debt, a huge potential for problems and delays in their development, whether or not they can make this profitable, etc. No doubt about it --- this is a classic high risk/high reward endeavor. I like RZ enough to take a gamble on the long-side, but I'll be the first to admit --- I could be very wrong. Still; it might be worth the 100% downside in order to reap upside potential of 500% - 1000%+. Then again, maybe I'm just bat@#4! insane.

Why I pick this stock to outperfom ! a beginner mistake.
Ok geothermic as a great potential, but after reading the website I think the project of RZ is not good.

More and more people are becoming cognizant of the environment - just look at all the hybrid cars and new emission laws being made. Raser Tech created a 100mpg H3! And while their geothermal power plant is very sophisticated and environmentally sound, I believe it will take awhile for people to accept the beginning of the end for fossil fuels. Although Raser's R&D has cost millions for negative gain thus far, I believe they are blazing a new path of which others will eventually follow.

This is a heavily touted company w/o revenues or earnings any where on the horizon.... I just don't believe the 100 mpg Hummer story.

Sometimes you can't just look at the numbers. They only have two business models and both are at the forefront of energy solutions for the U.S. Real energy solutions, right now, creating real jobs. I think they will recieve gov't backing which will create a base for the autos to start. They have the only green energy that can baseload. Everything else, Solar, Wind, etc. is inconsistent.

They will be introducing a 100 mile per gallon Hummer in 2010-2011. Even if GM gets rid of the Hummer this kind of technology will be huge within the auto industry.

Geothermal energy is accessible almost everywhere in the world. The technology is simple and well tested and the power output can be increased at any location just by adding additional identical modules. The US is already one of the world's biggest generators of geothermal power and Razer has thousands of acres of geothermal capacity already leased and ready for development in several locations close to major energy markets as well as power purchase agreements in place with utility companies. A geothermal plant's physical footprint is minimal and there are no pollutants produced. The technology easily qualifies for non-carbon and renewable energy tax credits and Razer has an aggressive program of growth already in place with new production coming online within 6-12 months to a year and a long-term schedule for increasing capacity yearly. No muss, no fuss, no carbon, no radioactivity, no pollution - yes, geothermal is truly a miraculous source of inexpensive, natural, infinitely renewable and non-polluting energy.

great technology breakthroughs; rapid inexpensive implementation= of geothermal energy plants in 6 months period of time; the new Hummer hybrid electric is already out for demonstration with potential 100 mpg which makes it an 'economy" car.

If you are buying a stock with this many people saying it is a fraud. Well then your not very smart. If there are 100 chicken pie boxes in the Kroger's freezer section to you buy the one that is partially open?
