4g, 4g, 4g, plus effective advertising and addressing the issue of customer service via ERIC outsourcing.

Either a bigger company will purchase S or S will outperform regardless. Its all about Wireless and they have the lowest plan. Once people come to realization that APPLE IPHONE is not the only option and is not the best option for emails, etc. The companies like S and ClearWater will profit.
Recs
S will be bought by someone... just waiting for that day to happen.

I believe the speeds available from Sprint's 4G network will just exceed the tipping point for mass market mobile internet adoption. Sprint will enjoy a first mover advantage for the next 12 months in it's home markets. Sprint will not do well in the roaming user market as other 4G standards will probably dominate but the home market is the bigger prize.

Don't forget about their huge presence in the business world. Business is more than just email and Blackberrys. Sprint currently dominates the GPS world when it comes to tracking trucks. There are millions of data plans using services by UPS Logistics which use Sprint plans and they add more every day and it's really convenient and sensible to piggyback a Direct Connect Plan. With 4G this is only going to increase. You won't find an iPhone in our trucks.
Then there's Proof of Delivery and traveling salesmen, and so on....Oh, and the Palm Pre rocks.

Will someone please give me a GOOD and thought out reason as to why this stock could not, within a 1-3 years, be trading at the level of VZ? (PPS was $29.38 at writing). I mean seriously people- they're rolling out 4G as we speak, they operate the US Governments' private surveillance network (DCSNet, which may put them in line for a bailout, especially under our lunatic president) and for god sakes they are a well established and operating company. Dan Hesse knows what he's doing. They have alot of potential between their Nextel DC and their 4G network, which will obviously in time be preferred by all serious consumers. Also, I would not count out some kind of partnership with RIM at sometime in the future (more than 3 yrs out) if they continue to switch focus to business and smartphone markets. Impossible? What happened with ATT and Apple then?

Sprint will pick up many disgruntled AT&T customers, I expect Verizon to get a large majority if and when they get the IPhone but Sprint will get their share as well.

at 3.90; limited downside risk

I believe Sprint will attract customers with its new plans especially those that use all the multimedia functions of their phones. I just use my phone for regular calls and the occasional text. Never had any issues. I'm sticking with Sprint.

too undervalued..

This stock is simply too low. Whether it rises on its own or due to a buyout, it has to rise.

I think Sprint has outwitted the big boys at AT&T and Verizon, who thought that their networks could sustain the increase in data demands for several more years before they would have to invest more money in upgrading their ridiculous 3GGG (LTE) standard. What they didn't count on was the iphone and seemingly endless list of similar devices that are bogging down their networks and disappointing customers who pay big money for these services. Meanwhile, for the last 18 months Sprint has been quietly building a Wi-Max infrastructure, dubbed 4G, that is more than capable of handling even the most demanding data applications, with average download speeds of around 5 MB/s. With the backing of industry leading partners and investors such as Intel Capital, Comcast, Sprint, Google, Time Warner Cable, Bright House Networks, and Samsung, this is not a chump network but rather a well planned and very fast wireless network which could someday blanket the entire country. While the big boys scramble to upgrade and retain customers, I see Sprint, through their Clearwire brand, gaining tremendous market share and with the right moves in the future they could be number one! Image that, not so hard for me, they were very highly regarded when they pioneered many of today's best technologies. They just got left behind when marketing and targeted advertising drew the most customers to the companies spending the most to get their brand market share. Clearwire was first introduced to a test market under the Xohm brand in Baltimore in Q4 2008. Results were impressive and led to a national expansion effort which is just now coming online. Sprint's Clear service is now available in Atlanta, Las Vegas, Portland and in select rural areas in Texas, Idaho and Washington. Buy now and hang on!

Well, I don't know, but based on the brand, Sprint is not going anywhere.

Sprint provides the cheapest cellular plans for consumers. In an economy as battered as ours people will not be looking to pay outrageous monthly rates for cell phone usage. They will turn to a more affordable provider: Sprint.
Also, the Palm Pre. Enough Said.

Cash income. Buyout opportunity.

just to make a few buck out of it.

Sprint's wireless nework is in the best position to take advantage of the new WIMax technology and they are already developing their own 4G network. Look to Sprint for the future of wireless broadband networks.
