The Charles Schwab Corp (SCHW)

Got cash? This company does. A lot of it. They've managed the recession quite well with high operating margins and relatively little debt.

This account tracks the less exciting stocks from my watch list - companies that are easy to understand with clean balance sheets and good track records in relatively straight-forward industries.

I bought on 9/22/09 @ $18.16

Solid company, low cost provider,

Charles and company have been hit just like every other stock through this recession. They will come out strong as this reboind continues and are cheap right now.

Solid fundamentals. Strong balance sheet. 21%+ net margins.

Think about it. People are starting to have to be smart with their money again. They actually HAVE to budget and think about the future. Our "Consumer Nation's" fantasy has been broken. People will start being more investment oriented and I think this stock will benefit from that. I think there is alot of upside here.

leader of the pack. integrity and innovation has made this company ahead and will continue into the near future.

outproform for at least a while. God knows what will happen next year. I activly manage and will sell if i see an issue.

great & active branding, discount brokerage model will give it a boost when the economy starts to recover and people cautiously return to stocks

Mixed financials are doing well in the "recovery" and this seems to be one of the good ones. The people that have money to invest need to go some where and this one has a name.

A class act among the online/discount brokerages and nicely diversified.

Harvesting a +7.43 score, while lowering my cost basis from $15 an change to $14 and change.

A safe financial.

I like this co. and can't believe it won't outperform S&P over the coming months. If I had 100,000 in spare cash I would put a nice chunk here.

We will eventually come out of this economic crisis we're in, and the stock market is known as a leading indicator (i.e., stocks anticipate the economic recovery before it actually happens).

When stocks turn north, people will start scowling at the near-zero returns they're getting in their money market accounts, and will re-enter the market. Schwab will benefit through higher account balances and trading commissions.

Schwab has weathered this storm much better than the other discount brokers, and has been improving customer loyalty through impressive customer service, research, and educational offerings. Their web-based platform, along with their "Streetsmart Pro" application for active traders, keeps betting better and better (I've recently been spending more time on Schwab.com, than at Fool.com!).

I expect RAI to exceed by quite a lot ANY and ALL stop smoking aids such as: patches, nicotine gum, and the latest and greatest CHANTIX.
