How can I resist at this level?
Recs
it's been down so long, its about ready to pop. Also, price to book less than 1. It's selling for less than it's holdings

Don't know much about this one...just going with the vibe I get.

ATTRACTIVELY PRICED, chart says company price might go a little lower but a lot higher.
Recs
SFE stock seems to be reasonably valued. While the company appears to have a lot of overhead (they are hiring all kinds of people at executive pay-levels), it does seem to be generating some positive returns. SFE's targeted segments (healthcare and IT) and phase (early growth) seem to be right on.
Recs
Great Company and holds 51% of CLRT
Recs
SFE is one of those stocks that can percolate for years while they cultivate their holdings. This stock just takes patience. At its current pps, however, there is limited downside.
Recs
Rather speculative stock with a somewhat diverse seed companies. It's 1yr chart looks nice, despite rather sketchy financials. Ownership of companies rewards SFE if one of them hit a home run.
Recs
Book value and holdings worth at least $3/share. Recognition of 100MM+ gain on sale of Mantas will show up in next quarter's earnings.
Own 57% CLRT
Own 100% Alliance Capital 100MM+ Rev growing at 30%
Nextone is promising too.

management changes
Recs
Loosing money. Bloated management structure will suck away any profits they can generate.
Recs
With the gain and cash from the Mantas sale, the company will have substantial resources to continue investing in new companies. While venture capital is always risky, the company has some interesting potential given its company roster and enhanced resources. You do have to hold your nose at management's absurdly high options compensation.
Recs
They haven' t made good business decisions in many years and keep repeating the same old bad habits.
