targeted therapies make a lot of sense I hope for all our sakes this one is a big winner. the first product is out and changing lives I hope the scientist develop many more

If they can leverage fast enough on the monoclonal setup and push through more therapies, this will be a big time winner - and cancer the looser. About the autoimmune diseases story... not too shure this one will work, but the cancer story is a huge, very very huge potential. Of course others are on the same roadmap and fighting the same game. However, Seattle Genetics got a heads start on approvals. And one existing approval qualifies highly for the fast track for other approvals, even though this would never be confirmed by the FDA - but that's the way the game is played.

The technology is bearing fruit and could be applied to multiple cancers.

Best ADC platform, approved product!

Cleared major hurdle with panel today. Possible first successful mover in "toxic payload" antibody for cancers. Needs to move on to more common cancers (like IMGN's HER2+ breast cancer possibility) for major financial success...but great first step with Hodgkin's and maybe large cell lymphoma.

Strong pipeline, with its drug for treatment resistant Hodgkins showing strong Phase 2 clinical trial results that may fast track it to FDA approval

$2.34B for a drug which treats HL and ALCL seems very, very rich, even when taking SGEN's strong balance sheet into account. Very cool platform, but the target for brentuximab vedotin is expressed on a narrow enough set of tumor types to keep this drug as a commercially modest proof of concept for the platform. Hats off to SGEN, which has maximized value for this asset, they've done a great job of hyping its potential and swindled Takeda out of a $60M upfront payment for ex-US rights. Hard to see this drug breaking $250M peak in the US even with very aggressive pricing, which makes the $2.34B market cap look very shaky.

one of america's most shorted stocks, according to a recent WSJ article. with 17.5% of float short, are they right or is the smart money about to lose big time?

Any biotech stock is a risky investment. We are beting on their ability to do things they have not done yet. However, their pipeline of products is strong enough.

This is another pick similar to the one I did from HGSI, I have been reviewing the info for this company and it really is a must buy company. They are extremely close to become a CASH COW, I would not be surprise to see their stock in the range of 150 Dlls in the next 2 years.
